Project Updates and Community Initiatives

Greetings Neighbors,

The new 2019-20 Board of Directors had our second Board meeting on August 28th, and I would like to share with you that we are all geared up to serve the great community and take part in continuing to make CTC such a wonderful place to live. During our meeting, we had some great updates from Scott Creer, our U of M liaison, regarding the ongoing construction of Fifield Place/Ave. This project should start wrapping up near September 20, 2019. 

We also discussed with Scott some options to add security cameras as a measure to reduce the crime around the community. This is an ongoing discussion and if you have any suggestions you want to share, feel free to reach out to any of the Directors. The Board will be discussing this more closely in September meetings. As a reminder, you can review how to report a crime and links to local crime reports here. 
 
We need YOU and your ideas in helping this vibrant community grow. Please attend the Committee Open house on September 11, at the Community Center Kitchen.
 
Finally, we would like to let you know that we will continue to express our interests and objectives to the Housing and Residential Life (HRL) at the University of Minnesota until our voices are heard.
