Gibbs Ave Entrance Temp Closed

10/9/15

Gibbs and Como Ave entrance will be CLOSED Monday October 12th - Monday October 19th to complete the final concrete work on the entrance access of Gibbs Ave. Alternate entrances will need to be used to access Gibbs Ave. All parking will remain open and available on Gibbs Ave. ONLY the entrance will be closed during this week period.

Road Project Completion

The road replacement project is complete. Fifield Street (south of Gibbs Ave) to Como Ave is officially open. The construction crew completed the project ahead of schedule. Thank you all for your patience and cooperation during the construction project. 


Parking Policy Enforcement Resumes

All Visitor and Second car spaces are designated for Visitor or Second car permitted vehicles ONLY

First car parking (RED tag) will be open on a first come first serve basis in areas NOT designated for Visitor or Second car

Second car (BLUE tag) must park in designated second car area locations ONLY

Visitors must have valid visitor tag properly hung from rearview mirror

All vehicles must have valid parking permits at all times

Vehicles without valid permits are subject to ticket, tow or vehicle immobilization.

9/11/15 Effective 7:00am Monday, September 14, 2015 
ALL vehicles must be removed from the construction zone area on Fifield St., south of Gibbs Ave to Como Ave (indicated on the attached map).
Any vehicles remaining after this time will be towed at owner’s expense.

Gibbs Ave parking and usage from Como Ave to the Study Center will become available Sunday September 13, 2015

We suggest moving your vehicle Sunday (9/13) to an alternative location
 

9/4/15

Road closure Fifield Street south of Gibbs Ave to Como has been postponed
 
The pavement completion process on Gibbs Ave has been delayed due to the warm weather conditions.
Fifield Street south of Gibbs to Como Ave will NOT be closing on Thursday September 10th as scheduled.
It will remain open until the Gibbs Ave phase is complete and officially reopened.
Notification will be sent with revised dates as soon as Management Team is informed.

8/21/15

Roadway access on Fifield and Gibbs Ave intersection will be open evenings and weekends at the end of the work day
Construction crews will be working Saturday (8/22) 
Road Construction work takes place between 7:00am-5:00pm and periodically continue into the early evening hours
and some Saturdays to ensure timely projected completion dates. *Please be advised machinery starts at 7:30am

Projected Road Opening and Closure

Gibbs Ave (Phase 1 & 2) Como to Fifield section is projected to reopen September 8th      
Fifield Street south of Gibbs Ave to Como Ave is projected to be CLOSED September 10th
Gibbs Ave (Phase 3) Cul-de-sac is projected to reopen October 26th
*Please be advised these are projected dates and subject to weather

Parking
Visitor parking permits are being restricted to allow for priority parking to all residents
All Visitor and Second car spaces are open to registered resident vehicles with valid parking permits through construction completion (projected October 30th)
Please be considerate and take the extra time to make sure to park straight in the middle of the parking spot to allow for ample parking opportunity for others in dense parking areas.
Street Parking: Be aware of the street parking rules. Read all signs in the area. Como Ave has a no parking rule on Tuesday evenings (technically early morning) and City required permit parking areas on limited time restrictions. 
If parking is full in surrounding area, be sure to check parking areas on the north end of property off of Commonwealth or south end of property off of Como Ave (Ward 14 area)
All vehicles must have valid parking permits at all times.
Vehicles without valid permits are subject to ticket, tow or vehicle immobilization.

ALL vehicles must be removed from the construction zone area
Como and Gibbs Ave to Gibbs Ave and Fifield Street see map
Any vehicles remaining after this time will be towed at owner’s expense.
We suggest moving your vehicle Wednesday (8/19) to an alternative location.

Road Construction will periodically continue into the early evening hours
and some Saturdays to ensure timely projected completion dates.

Parking Logistics & Enforcement
-All Visitor and Second car spaces are open to registered resident vehicles with valid parking permits through construction completion (projected October 30th)
-Visitor parking permits are being restricted to allow for priority parking to all residents

Dumpster Access - Gibbs Ave
The dumpster areas along Gibbs Ave are accessible during construction from the south side only.
For households on the north side of Gibbs that used these dumpsters regularly will need to use the alternative dumpster locations in the Ray place area or walk around to the south side of Gibbs to access.
Walking access across Gibbs Ave is prohibited due to safety.
 

Gibbs Ave Phase 1 & 2 - ROAD CLOSED

Parking Enforcement
Starting Monday, August 3, all parking will be open on CTC property
Any registered vehicle with valid parking permit can park in any spot
including visitor and second car parking areas until all construction is completed.
 
All vehicles must have valid parking permits at all times.
Vehicles without valid permits are subject to ticket, tow or vehicle immobilization.
