Board of Directors Corner

Community Members,

CTC Management Team and the Board of Directors would like to remind everyone of the upcoming Annual National Night Out event Tuesday August 4th!

What is National Night Out?
The introduction of National Night Out, “America’s Night Out Against Crime”, in 1984 began an effort to promote involvement in crime prevention activities, police-community partnerships, neighborhood camaraderie and send a message to criminals letting them know that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back. Interested in learning more about NNO?

How does CTC participate in National Night Out?
Potluck Style- sharing a dish of food and joining neighboring wards for enhanced community building
Learn firsthand SAFETY tips from University Police Officers
Learn ways to keep CTC safe as a self-patrolled community AGAINST crime
Bringing residents together help make our community a safer place
EVERYONE WELCOME AND ENCOURAGED TO JOIN

Consider being a National Night Out Event Coordinator Volunteer!

This is a great way to get involved in the community and we need 1 volunteer from each ward to help out.
Each ward needs a NNO Event Coordinator contact person to post necessary flyer invitations, answer questions, enter each household into the drawing,
Help set-up and work with the other joining ward event coordinator.
The goal is to gather as many residents from the community to enjoy the evening event.
Volunteer Coordinator training session will be held on Thursday July 30th at 6:00pm in the Community Center Fire Place Room to review event details and distribute all necessary potluck materials.

If you are interested in volunteering for your ward email: hadleya@umnctc.org

Mark your calendars to participate in CTC’s NNO recognition night Tuesday August 4th potluck style with joining wards
