Sewing Group
Join our Sewing Group on Wednesdays from 10 am - 12 pm in the Meeting Room, located inside the Community Center!
Basic Repairs + Mending
- Bring in clothing or the like (cushions, blankets, etc.) and receive free guided assistance from our experienced volunteer to repair and fix items.
- Learn basic hand sewing techniques including several stitches to do your own mending: stitch up a rip, sew on a button, put on a hook and eye, place a patch or darn those holes.
Complete Sewing Projects
- Learn to use a sewing machine and complete a instructor-selected project – or bring in your own project/supplies!
- In a near fully-equipped workshop, work on projects of your choice or consider ideas suggested by the instructor.

The group meets Wednesdays at 10 am - 12 pm in the Community Center Meeting Room (first floor near CTC office).
Group Details / Registration
- Come as you are – all learning materials and sewing machines provided.
- No need to bring any supplies or projects in mind, with the option to if you would like!
- English is not required to participate in this group.
- Face masks are required to be worn during sessions.
There is a $5.00 charge per student for the semester for materials.
