About the Program:
DIRT GROUP is a Minnesota-based nonprofit that provides nature-based opportunities for meaningful social engagement, grounded in gardening, food farming, creative arts, and outdoor adventures. Sessions include hands-on experiences like planting and harvesting, creating with natural materials, and preparing simple, fresh foods—encouraging connection to nature and community.
Weekly sessions at CTC will take place every Tuesday from 9:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m. and include a group lunch. In addition to weekly sessions, the program plans to offer several optional Saturday activities during the summer, with opportunities for parents/caregivers to participate as well.
DIRT GROUP’s approach is rooted in social groupwork, neuroscience, and trauma-informed care, aiming to enhance well-being and foster resilience through meaningful, experiential learning outdoors.
We are excited to bring this enriching program to CTC youth and look forward to a summer of growth and discovery!
