Board of Directors Corner

Greetings Neighbors,
On behalf of your Board of Directors, I am writing to update you on the current happenings of our work and encourage your engagement as we continue to promote quality housing and community at CTC.
In the past few months we have been searching for residents to volunteer and become a CTC Board of Director. I’d like to share that there are so many areas that make being a Board member exciting and valuable as a community member and in gaining applicable job experience beyond CTC. As a CTC Board member, you will have the opportunity to interact with CTC management, better understand how the co-op community operates, and have the opportunity to make change in policy for the community. Understandably, everyone’s time is precious, but we feel that you will find serving as a Board member will help you gain experience while having fun, good food, and gain new experiences. Child care is provided for those that need it at monthly meetings.
Any University student or spouse is eligible to become a CTC board member. If you want to learn and be part of a change in CTC, please do not hesitate to contact a board member or email Shanea Schmelling ( If you already have an application form, please turn it in at the CTC offices before March 15th.
We are in the way of preparing for the CTC members annual meeting on April, 3rd. Please mark your calendar, as this is a mandatory meeting for all CTC co-op members. CTC childcare will be provided at the meeting for members who need this service. We will share the fiscal year 2017-2018 co-op health as well as elect new Board of Director members during that meeting. Hope to see you all there.
With many warm thanks for the wonderful opportunity to represent you,
CTC Board of Directors
