Office Relocation (June 12- June 16)

Office construction will take place June 12th-June 16th. We will be open and operating through the Fireplace Room during this week. Please be patient with us as our response times to email and phone may have a slight delay during this week. We encourage you to email or stop in rather than using the phone, as it will be easier to communicate through email or in person. If you do need to call, please utilize the front desk extension 100. Please dial 651-646-7526 ext 100.

Toy and Bike Exchange or Giveaway

Do you have old toys you don’t want?  Have your kids out grown their bikes?  Join us for a toy and bike exchange or giveaway.
Saturday, June 3, 2017, 10am - 1pm, CTC Sports Court (Please keep to one area on the court)
Bring a toy item/bike (all ages, trike or wagon) – SWAP - for another OR donate what you no longer use. This is a participant run exchange.
If your items have not been taken by Monday, June 5th, the Maintenance Staff will collect them or they will be donated to a local organization. Questions? Contact ctc@umnctc.org

Bike Clean up- Must claim personal property

All bikes, grills and toys near or on bike racks around one bedroom buildings will be tagged with green tie tags. Also, items that are lying around the property will be tagged. You will need to write your name and address on the tags. No items near two bedroom splits or phase IV will be tagged.
All bikes must be claimed and organized by Tuesday, June 20, 2017. (Any abandoned bikes and items not claimed by June 11, 2017 will be removed.)

Sublease Reminders

If you plan to sublease this summer, please complete the sublease agreement and submit it with the sub leaser’s government issued ID, U-card, and University of MN registration to the CTC front desk.

Save the Date- NATIONAL NIGHT OUT

Save the date for NATIONAL NIGHT OUT 08/01/17. Each Ward area will need a Event Coordinator Volunteer for National Night Out!

EVERYONE WELCOME AND ENCOURAGED TO JOIN
Consider being a National Night Out Event Coordinator Volunteer! This is a great way to get involved in the community and we need 1 volunteer from each ward to help out. Each ward needs a NNO Event Coordinator contact person to post necessary flyer invitations, answer questions, enter each household into the drawing, Help set-up and work with the other joining ward event coordinator. The goal is to gather as many residents from the community to enjoy the evening event.

Water use during summer

Everyone is welcome to use the water hoses during the summer. Some water faucets do require a spigot key to turn on. You can sign out these keys at the CTC front office or ask your Ward Representative for use.

CTC Summer Programs

The Programs Committee would like to set up weekly pick-up games for Pickle ball, badminton, volleyball, basketball and soccer this summer. If you have any interest in playing and helping organize these games, please email shanea@umnctc.org.

Ice Cream Social

June 24, 2017 - 2:00PM - Community Center- Fireplace room
Ice cream and toppings provided on a first-come, first-served basis at the Community Center Fireplace room.  Stay and mingle with other CTC residents!

Cooking Class

June 15, 2017 - 7:00PM – CTC Upstairs Kitchen
Megan will show us how to make a light summer dinner with Kale salad, rustic pea spread on bread, and hibiscus iced tea. That sounds amazing!

Teen Tuesdays

Tuesdays 3:30-5:30PM - CTC Upstairs Kitchen
Will be finishing up Teen Tuesday on June 6, 2017 to allow for summer activities. Volunteers needed to take teens for monthly outings to soccer games, bowling or to the Raptor Center.

English Conversation- Continues through the SUMMER

Continues on Tuesday’s at 10am-11:30am in the Fireplace Room. Come enjoy some Tea and Coffee and casual conversation to improve your English skills. This event is FREE and open to everyone. Learn more about this event and visit www.umnctc.org for the events calendar.

Events at Langford Recreation Center

Please take the time to view local events at Langford Recreation Center (less than a 15-minute walk)!
Family 4th of July events - Join the Langford Community for this free family celebration. Kiddie parade, volleyball, horseshoes, tennis, music, and games. Concessions will be sold. Many Volunteers Needed! Call 651-298-5765 to Volunteer.

Soccer (Sanneh)- The Sanneh Foundation along with St. Paul Parks and Rec is offering free soccer clinics this summer. Clinics are for youth ages 5-12 years old. Topics covered include basic skill training, speed and agility development, attacking, defending, small-sided games and tactics. Meals and/or snacks may be provided at the camp.

Summer Blast - Summer Blast is a program for school-aged children who have completed grades K - 5, held at selected recreation centers throughout the City of Saint Paul. Summer Blast offers recreational, cultural, social, and enrichment programs. Activities include but are not limited to: art, field trips, sports, games, library activities, cooking, swimming, and movies. No program July 3 & 4.
